Whether you’re new to art or have your own creative flow, Art For All is the time to let your imagination soar. Visit our current exhibitions to spark your creativity! These informal drop-in workshops are open to all ages. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. All materials are provided free of charge, while supplies last.

Free | Relax over a steaming cup of coffee while engaging in lively conversations with local fellow artists and explore the captivating exhibitions at OMA for free. OMA's Artist Alliance extends a warm invitation to sculptors, painters, photographers, and artists of all backgrounds to join in the experience.  

Join Artist Alliance from home or wherever you are with refreshments of your choice, and enjoy some conversation with fellow artists! Sculptors, painters, photographers, and artists of all disciplines are welcome. Join the conversation from a computer, tablet, or smartphone. The sunny shores of the Mediterranean with flowering hillsides from Nice to Antibes were the inspiration and subject matter for Matisse, Picasso and Chagall. Join Robin Douglas to compose and paint in the style of these masters of the 20th century. All materials provided with light snacks.

What is Studio Arts? Join us every other month for Studio Arts, when OMA transforms into an artist’s studio, offering skill-building workshops led by distinguished professor and arts educator Robin Douglas. Inspired by world-renowned artists, and practicing artists with exhibitions at OMA, you will explore different media, techniques, and subjects found in an artist’s studio. This full-day workshop held from 10:00am-3:00pm is meant to get you in the art-making groove and develop new approaches to seeing and creating artwork. Whether you have a lifetime practice or are new to expressing yourself, we exchange ideas and techniques in a supportive and challenging environment. Students of all levels are welcome to stretch their creative muscles and build community with us. All supplies and light refreshments for each workshop are included in the cost. A break for lunch and a relaxed discussion will occur at midday. Please bring your own bagged lunch or feel free to visit one of the restaurants close by on our provided list.

About Artist Alliance

OMA's Artist Alliance serves as an affiliated membership group accessible to OMA members at any tier for an extra annual fee of $20 per person. This alliance fosters interaction, visibility, and professional growth for artists within the region. OMA holds a number of events that either feature Artist Alliance members’ artwork (both on-and-off-site exhibitions), are exclusive to Artist Alliance members (i.e. Artist Alliance Biennial), or offer free or discounted admission. With a vast variety of materials, photographs, and accessories, eclectic yet cohesive art objects will be composed and constructed. Flat or three-dimensional, mobiles or stay-biles, many options will be presented for you to complete your own unique work of art.

Gather with friends in an artistic space designed to amplify your creative side. Join arts educator Robin Douglas, as we dip our toes into the work of celebrated artists over drinks and nibbles, followed by a rapid demonstration of their styles. You’ll then be guided to interpret these artists and create your own singular, spectacular work of art. We’ll help you express your unique style and ensure you have a blast doing it. All levels of experience are encouraged to participate. OMA provides food, drinks, and supplies; all you have to do is get yourself out of work, grab your friends, and have fun!

A master at “Soak and Stain” paintings Frankenthaler also worked in mono printing techniques creating fluid and energetic one-of-a-kind images. Join Robin Douglas to create a series of spontaneous prints and a portfolio to archive them. All materials are provided along with light snacks.

Off The Wall is a conversation series that brings community leaders together with artists and curators to discuss current affairs which impact the health and well being of our region now and in the future. Artists often exist at the forefront of societal change, reflecting the mood of the current moment and trends, innovating towards change, and bringing challenging concepts to light. In this series, we look at the role the museum has in bringing art and community together to be champions of culture. Part moderated conversation, part audience participation, we take the art off the walls and into our everyday lives.

In “What is the Color of Love” Richard Mayhew has a sense of color like no other artist. People feel color and in this studio, we will complete a series of color theory exercises before completing our own unique painting to invoke emotion.
