JOHN ZABRUCKY: INDUSTRIAL ALCHEMY
November 15, 2009–March 28, 2010
In Gleason Gallery
Over the past two decades John Zabrucky has been creating a series of flat relief works that celebrate the mysteries of technology. The hyper-detailed reliefs produced with industrial techniques are at the intersection of art and science suggesting both the beauty and terror of life in a high-tech world. He uses a process so time consuming, technical and tedious that the resulting art can only be called Industrial Alchemy.
