Pricing artwork can be one of the toughest parts of being a professional artist. This workshop demystifies the process by breaking down how experience, scale, medium, and market shape value, and offers strategies for maintaining consistent, professional pricing—whether selling independently or through galleries. We’ll also cover online sales platforms like Saatchi, Fine Art America, RedBubble, and Society6, outlining what artists need to succeed, from strong images and bios to a cohesive body of work. Participants will leave more confident in pricing their art and better prepared to expand their reach online.

The Ilan-Lael Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating the artistic legacy of James Hubbell. Founded in 1982 by James and Anne Hubbell, the Ilan-Lael Foundation’s mission is to inspire creativity, foster a deep connection with nature, and provide a sanctuary where art and nature harmoniously coexist.

Join us in partnership with Ilan-Lael Foundation and OMA staff for an air-dry clay moquette-making session where we will focus on the themes and shapes used in Hubbell’s iconic architecture, featured in the Brothers In Arts: James Hubbell and Bert Hubbell exhibition at OMA.

Join artist José Hugo Sánchez Jiménez, featured in the Matrix Multiplied: Hybrid Approaches to Printmaking exhibition at OMA, for a hands-on workshop exploring the art of sculpture, community, and printmaking. In this session, José will guide you in creating your own handheld three-dimensional bee, inspired by the monumental bee featured in his exhibition piece.

Learn about the interconnectedness of the hive as José shares the symbolism behind his work, and receive expert guidance on carving and adorning your bee. In the exhibition, José’s giant bee also functions as a printmaking tool; carved, inked, and used to create unique prints. You’ll explore these same techniques in miniature, gaining insight into how sculpture and printmaking can merge.

All materials are provided. This workshop is suitable for artists of all ages and skill levels who are curious about hands-on sculpture and creative experimentation.

Starting with copies of some of Warhol’s famous faces, paint portraits in your own color scheme at this Taste of Art workshop. Try using single images or experimenting with multiples in the Pop Artist’s famous style!

In this meet-and-greet with David Adey, learn about his enveloping exhibition Sacrificial Bodies. David will lead a brief tour of the gallery sharing about his inspirations and artistic journey. Discover a joyful, creative approach to personal growth through this nurturing four-class art journaling series. Designed to make the inner work of self-development feel lighter, sweeter, and more accessible, this program blends meditation, creative expression, and meaningful reflection in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

Led by Lea Seigen Shinraku—a licensed therapist, group facilitator, Zen practitioner, and lifelong artist—this series draws on over 15 years of professional experience combined with science-based self-compassion practices. With deep roots in both the healing arts and visual creativity, Lea offers a warm, grounded approach that welcomes participants exactly as they are.

In this series, you will: create a criticism-free zone in your life through art journaling; discover and explore the fundamentals of self-compassion; build comfort with uncertainty in a changing world; practice self-compassion in a playful, creative, and embodied way.

Each class includes guided meditation, experiential teaching, art journaling, and group discussion—inviting a spirit of curiosity, creativity, and care into everyday life. No art experience is necessary. These simple, accessible creative practices are truly about the heart, not artistic skill. All sessions will be recorded, and registered participants will receive temporary access to class recordings for flexible viewing.

Whether you’re seeking personal renewal, creative exploration, or new tools for emotional well-being, this series offers a gentle, inspiring path forward—through both art and self-compassion.

Students are responsible for purchasing their own materials: watercolor set (you can choose the palette you prefer); watercolor paper or pad (any watercolor pad of a similar size with approximately 30 pages works well).
