LEARN
School Programs
Programs for students in grades K-12 aligned to Common Core State Standards (CCSS) are available with or without an optional art project and should be booked at least three weeks in advance.
Youth & Family Programs
Children are encouraged to explore their creative side in classes and programs for all age groups.
Adult Classes
A variety of classes are available from paper making to figure drawing. Students are encouraged to explore their creativity through new techniques, and to become part of a greater community of art lovers.
Lectures & Artist Talks
Distinguished Lecture Series, panels, and artist talks are offered to enable a deeper exploration into the exhibitions and art history.
Docent Tours
Trained docents are available Tuesday–Saturday 11:00am–2:00pm, and Sundays 1:00-4:00pm. Tours are free for OMA members and students, and $5 per person for visitors. Call (760) 435-3728 or email education@oma-online.org to schedule.
Artist Alliance
Artist Alliance is an affiliate group available to OMA members at any level for an additional fee of $20 per year per person.

About Artist Alliance
OMA's Artist Alliance serves as an affiliated membership group accessible to OMA members at any tier for an extra annual fee of $20 per person. This alliance fosters interaction, visibility, and professional growth for artists within the region. OMA holds a number of events that either feature Artist Alliance members’ artwork (both on-and-off-site exhibitions), are exclusive to Artist Alliance members (i.e. Artist Alliance Biennial), or offer free or discounted admission. Event Details
Microworlding facilitates the building of a microscopic world using fragments of earth, and organic and inorganic materials from the environment around the region. Engaging with a different dimension that generates a sensorial experience, the attendants will make decisions, imagine possibilities, touch nature, see with another lens (4x - 10x larger) develop images with a microscope, and use their fingers (or tweezers if needed) to create their own sample tube. With this hands-on workshop, people will perform “studies” of a superorganism (which is planet earth) to make collages mixing the chosen samples and paint landscapes of a microworld.
