Karl Benjamin has been filling canvases with carefully orchestrated color throughout his 50-year career. As one of four artists in the 1959 exhibition of Abstract Classicists, he became known as the founding father of Hard Edge. His exploration of surface, space, and color vibrate with geometric shapes and hard edges.
