The Peter Sprague Trio will fill OMA with the sounds of live jazz music while 333 Pacific serves gourmet appetizers, desserts, and specialty wines. The jazz trio consists of Peter Sprague on guitar, Mack Leighton on bass, and Tripp Sprague on sax and flute. The playlist will contain an array of contrasting jazz stylings all executed with the spirit of joy in music. Known for their “soul grass” style, Malissa Miller’s and Jerod Dulaney’s musical influences include folk, country, bluegrass, and southern rock. Their style is reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac, the Allman Brothers, and the Grateful Dead. This terrifically talented six-piece band is led by strong songwriting and musicianship along with the pair’s own signature vocal styles. The concert is free to attend. Workshop: Multi-Perspectives On Alternative Surfaces
Robin Douglas will provide a number of natural and man-made materials to inspire 2D and 3D art-making with unique, imaginative, and one-of-a-kind surfaces in this two-day class on Tuesday and Thursday, November 7 and 9. Participants should bring any found materials or objects to add for upcycling into art objects using paints and other media for this creative adventure. A variety of other materials will be provided.
