First Friday Art Walk: Focus On Fokos
Downtown Oceanside comes alive during First Friday Art Walk with art, performances, music, poetry, activities, food, and fun for all ages at a variety of venues, and it all starts at OMA with free admission. After touring the exhibition David Fokos: The Book Pages Project with the artist as a guide, pay homage to books—not today’s digital ebooks, but real books with covers, pulpy paper, yellowing pages, and dog-eared corners. Then create a work of art honoring the classic book form with teaching artist Heather Peters.
Artist David Fokos will lead tours of his exhibition starting at 5:30pm and again at 6:30pm. Art projects will be available 5:00–8:00pm.
