TEENY TINY ART MART 2027
Make a Big Impact... One Teeny Tiny At a Time!
Submissions Close: Sunday, January 31, 2027, 5:00pm
OMA's sixth annual Teeny Tiny Art Mart is here! Create your own 5 inch x 5 inch (12.5 cm x 12.5 cm) miniature masterpiece. All donated artwork will be displayed at OMA and available for purchase online. The best part? 100% of the proceeds support OMA's education initiatives, providing thousands of students annually with transformative arts-based experiences.
Artists and art enthusiasts of all ages are invited to submit artwork in almost any media for inclusion in OMA’s Teeny Tiny Art Mart. Artwork by novices, professionals, civic leaders, and local celebrities will be available for purchase at the accessible price of $25 each, with a twist—buyers will not know the identity of the artist until they purchase the artwork.
- DECIDE SIZING & SUBSTRATE: Pick any substrate you like: watercolor paper, stretched canvas, wood, aquabord, glass, leaves, cloth, etc. The options are endless! But make sure your piece measures exactly 5 inches tall x 5 inches wide (12.5 cm x 12.5 cm) and no more than 2 inches deep (5 cm)—no smaller and no larger! Want to frame on your Teeny Tiny? Go for it! Just make sure the frame is within the sizing requirements.
- PICK YOUR MEDIUM: Create your Teeny Tiny in any medium: paint, mixed-media collage, print, fiber, etc. But remember: all pieces must be an original work of art!
- CREATE YOUR TEENY TINY: Throw on the apron and those paint-covered pants! Get creative making your original piece, but don't sign the front of your artwork! Part of the surprise is not knowing who the artist is until the buyer purchases your piece!
- DELIVER YOUR MASTERPIECE: Download, print, and attach the required submission form (or pick one up at OMA). Cut the form along the dotted lines and adhere it to the back of your Teeny Tiny artwork donation. Deliver your piece to the front desk at OMA or ship to: Dana Edwards, Oceanside Museum of Art, 704 Pier View Way, Oceanside, CA, 92054. All artwork submissions must be delivered to OMA no later than Sunday, January 31, 2027, at 5:00pm.

Frequently Asked Questions
What material should artwork be made on?
Any substrate is acceptable, as long as the artwork is no more than 2 inches deep. Some ideas are thick paper, stretched canvas, unstretched canvas, wood, cardboard, photo paper, illustration board, etc. Please consider creating the artwork on a sturdy material so that it can stand on a shelf leaning against a wall. If the artwork is not sturdy enough to stand, OMA staff will mount it on a sturdy backing for the sale.
Does the artwork need to include hanging hardware or be ready to hang?
No.
What shape and size should my artwork be?
The artwork must be an exact 5 inch by 5 inch (12.5 cm x 12.5 cm) square, no more than 2 inches deep (5 cm).
Will my name be listed with the artwork?
To keep the spirit of discovery and accessibility at the heart of this event, all artworks will be sold anonymously at the same price point. Buyers won’t know the identity of the artist, whether they are a novice, professional, civic leader, or local celebrity, until after the purchase is made. This creates a level playing field and encourages collectors to buy what truly speaks to them.
Artist names will be listed on the exhibition webpage. This approach celebrates the connection, curiosity, and joy when collecting art. It also allows established artists to participate generously, knowing that their contribution helps make art accessible to everyone while adding an element of excitement for buyers.
If my artwork is framed or matted, is that included in the 5 inch by 5 inch size restriction?
Yes, the exterior dimensions of the finished submission, including any frame or mat, must be 5 inches by 5 inches (12.5 cm x 12.5 cm), no more than 2 inches deep (5 cm).
How much will artwork sell for?
