Oceanside Museum of Art is partnering with Steven Churchill, Producer of The Art of Photography Show, to curate an exhibition that offers museum visitors a global/international perspective on the landscape. Contemporary Landscape Photography: An International Perspective, curated by Churchill, will feature 40 images that highlight our integral connection to our surrounding environment and the changing aspects of our global landscape. With images ranging from urban settings to idyllic naturescapes, this exhibit will present a diverse selection of engaging scenes from around the world.

The Art of Photography Show is an established and critical force in the world of contemporary photography. Now in its 9th year, this exhibition brings awareness to the importance of this ubiquitous medium that is able to capture the ordinary and exceptional moments and places in life. The 2013 competition, juried by Julia Dolan, the Minor White Curator of Photography at the Portland Art Museum, attracted entries from 85 countries and will be presented at the San Diego Art Institute in Balboa Park October 12-November 17, 2013.
