Campaign for Expansion of Oceanside Museum of Art

Construction is planned to begin as early as spring of 2027, with the expanded Museum opening in late 2028.

Warm and welcoming, personal and unpretentious, OMA provides measurable benefits to the social health and economic wellbeing of the community many of us call home, or love to visit. The visionary citizens who founded OMA saw the potential for an art museum to positively impact the lives of many in the surrounding areas, and, through their tireless efforts, created a cultural resource with a spirit consistent with the character of our region. This expansion effort presents an opportunity to enhance and secure this vital resource for years to come. By providing a place for meaningful experiences and fostering a sense of belonging and connection, OMA contributes to a thriving community.

OMA continues to set trends, take risks, and reach further, in order to better our community.

Known for vanguard exhibitions and award-winning education programs, OMA brings people together to celebrate the art and stories of Southern California artists. With several hundred artworks by Southern California artists in its permanent collection, OMA engages more than 30,000 visitors annually through ever-changing exhibitions, events, and community-based programs.
