MONDAY & WEDNESDAY, APRIL 19 AND 21
Celebrate artist Frida Kahlo and the importance of the natural world as a source of her creativity. Having created her own home garden as a creative refuge, Kahlo’s works are filled with vibrant depictions of nature, exotic animals, and luscious plant life. Join Robin Douglas for a two-day painting workshop to explore the use of succulents as symbols by this seminal artist, and to draw parallel inspirations from local artist Amanda Kachadoorian and her exhibition Botanical Hybridity of San Diego’s Multicultural History currently on display at OMA. All supplies for your original artwork will be provided.Members will need to sign in online to receive their discount at check out.
Limited space is available. This event will be held onsite at OMA in compliance with CDC, state, and county guidelines. Sanctioned social distancing will be followed and masks that cover both the nose and mouth are required to be worn at all times.
