Join Robin Douglas to channel Wassily Kandinsky and “hear colors” by creating musically inspired compositions. Paint while listening to classical, jazz, and rock music. Drinks, appetizers, and all art supplies provided.

Workshop: How To Create A Masterpiece

Use a wide variety of masters’ techniques through drawing, painting, and sculpting to make your own masterwork. Robin Douglas will explore the basics of design for dynamic and intriguing imagery. All supplies provided.

Exhibition Reception At NCRT

Enjoy appetizers and wine at this juried Artist Alliance satellite exhibition.This exhibition will run the duration of two consecutive shows at NCRT and will include Artist Alliance submissions loosely-based on both plays’ collective themes. The Illusion celebrates the magic and illusory nature of theatre while Travels With My Aunt is an entertaining journey with eccentric Aunt Augusta and her staid bourgeois nephew Artwork will be on view February 22–May 7, 2017. Lecture: Photographing Artwork

Larry Vogel will demonstrate techniques for taking accurate photographs of artwork to present in digital galleries or submit for juried shows using cell phone, point-and-shoot, and professional DSLR cameras.

The evening starts with sipping champagne on the museum terrace before walking over to the main event at the Oceanside Civic Center Plaza for cocktails and culinary delights prior to an elegant three-course dinner.
