Join Robin Douglas to create a maquette that could lead to a larger finished work of art using Nevelson’s techniques. Be inspired to create art “in the round” with varying heights and depths. Using contemporary Los Angeles artist Laura Owens as an inspiration, Robin Douglas will show how to use image, text, pattern, and actual textures to produce unique, attractive yet provocative artwork. Experiment with a variety of materials and techniques to create a creative composition. Most materials will be provided but bring in any that will augment your work.

Water-based paint has been used for hundreds of years to create luminous, mysterious, and colorful realistic and abstract images. Using a variety of techniques and found natural objects as inspiration Robin Douglas will show how to create exploding compositions of what is rarely seen.
