Two-Day Workshop: Papermaking
Robin Douglas will teach the papermaking process. A variety of sources will be used to create pulp for flat sheets and 3D creations. Materials will be provided but students are encouraged to bring in papers, fibers, plants, and flowers to create unique paper pulp.

Dance At OMA
After collecting audience responses to VALYA: SHE during three work-in-progress sessions at OMA, Alyssa Junious of Continuum will present her final dance work on the final day of the exhibition. This promises to be a wonderful send-off for the much-loved installation. Come for the dance, stay for the conversation afterward.
Junious graduated from Oceanside High School before attending UC Irvine where she earned a BFA in dance. She is a community influencer who creates work aimed at engaging audiences to see themselves reflected in the artwork.
Dance At OMA
May through July, Alyssa Junious of Continuum will be creating movement in conversation with the exhibition VALYA: SHE. During three work-in-progress events, Junious will solicit and incorporate audience response to her finished work, which will be presented in full on Sunday, July 7. The last opportunity to join in the creation process of this new work will happen during First Friday Art Walk on Friday, June 7, 5:30-7:00pm, Junious will be working with two new dancers around the issues of age, time, and family. Come be a part of creating this exciting new community project. Admission is free during the public input session, as well as for the final presentation in July.

Dance At OMA
This new series of performance work is created in direct response to current exhibitions. During this work-in-progress event, Alyssa Junious will be creating movement based around VALYA: SHE and incorporate audience response to her finished work, which will be presented in full on July 7. Museum guests are invited to join in the creation process of this new work happens during First Free Sunday on June 2. She will be at work on the terrace and in the gallery 2:30–4:00pm. Various ways to contribute feedback will be available. Museum admission is free from 12:00–5:00pm to explore all of the exhibitions.
