Join us for a spectacular evening on Saturday, October 29! As we close out OMA’s anniversary year and celebrate 25 years of art in Oceanside, we invite you to this historic occasion and epic party celebrating art and community, recognizing artists and art lovers at the heart of OMA.

Exhibition Celebration, 6:00-7:00pm (Ticketed event, includes admission to Art After Dark: Metamorphosis)

Starting at 6:00pm, join us as we celebrate our grand survey exhibition Legacy: 25 Years of Art and Community, and our current exhibitions Gail Roberts: Color Field, Pop Smoke: A Veteran Art Exhibition, and Lani Emanuel: Beside Herself. Meet artists, lenders, and art enthusiasts at the heart of OMA.

Art After Dark: Metamorphosis, 7:00-10:00pm (Ticketed event)

As day turns into night, transform into a creature of the night, and get weird at OMA’s signature Art After Dark event. Get ready for a sensational evening charged with awe-inspiring entertainment, live music, food trucks, spooky good libations, art-making activities, and more. Featuring performances by DJ Grande and Shane Hall,  cultural dances by Grupo Folkorico Tapatio and Taupou Samoa Polynesian Dance Taupou and more, escape the night with even more entertainment as you explore the museum with Dragon Knight Stiltwalkers, tarot readings, dance and art workshops, and more. Come in costume or just as you are!

Artist Alliance Art Mart On The Terrace September 17 2022

Whether you’re a seasoned art collector or looking to start your collection, visit OMA to purchase art from Southern California artists during our Artist Alliance Art Mart On The Terrace.

Attention art collectors and enthusiasts! For one day only, visit the museum for a pop-up art sale and show on the front terrace featuring artwork created by members of OMA’s Artist Alliance. Explore art in the open air, pick up the next gem for your collection, and enjoy free museum admission to explore four newly opened exhibitions, Gail Roberts: Color Field, Pop Smoke: A Veteran Art Exhibition, Legacy: 25 Years of Art and Community (The Early Years), and Phillip K. Smith III–Lozenge Variant 1.

First Free Sunday: Community Art Day

Join us on Sunday, September 4 from 12:00-2:00pm for artmaking. Draw inspiration from bright colors, tongue-in-cheek humor, pop culture and found object artworks highlighted in Pop Smoke: A Veteran Art Exhibition and create shoes that POP! Add vibrant paint, whimsical bling, vintage fabrics, stickers, and retro tchotchkes inspired by pop culture to your own shoes or decorate shoes provided by OMA. All materials supplied! Bringing your own shoes to decorate is highly encouraged.

This family friendly event is FREE along with admission to the museum. Just bring your imagination!

This is a drop in event, feel free to come at any time and plan to spend 30-40 minutes participating in the workshop. It is open to all ages but children must be accompanied by an adult
