Three Yiddish Divas Get Romantic
In conjunction with San Diego Repertory Theatre, the Three Yiddish Divas—Elizabeth Schwartz, Debby Davis, and Kathy Robbins—return with songs of love and longing from around the world as part of the 23rd annual Lipinsky Family San Diego Jewish Arts Festival. Each acclaimed singer is well known to festival and San Diego audiences. Soulful and earthy Elizabeth Schwartz is the lead singer for Hot Pstromi. Debby Davis, with a Yiddish theatre flair, is the lead singer of 2nd Avenue Klezmer. Kathy Robbins, founding cantor of Temple Sollel, evokes folk-rock political passion. Expect beautiful and lively songs from this SD Jewish super-group in the world’s great romance languages of French, Italian, Spanish, Ladino—and Yiddish!
Family Watercolor Class At Cape Rey Resort
Kick off the unofficial start of summer with a Family Paint Party on Memorial Day weekend at Cape Rey Resort in Carlsbad! With the ocean as inspiration, parents and children will partner and explore the use of watercolors. Each family will create their own masterpiece to take home.

Oceanside Museum of Art and Hello Betty are teaming up with Palate to Palette creator/instructor Margaret Chiaro to offer the perfect combination of art, food, and an ocean view. Hello Betty will offer one free glass of house wine or beer to each student, plus enjoy their rooftop selection of tacos and signature raw bar. This invitational juried exhibition features a range of fiber and textile arts in media such as silk, cotton, bamboo, palm, wool, wire, and paper.

Love Letters In Metal: Jewelry By Svetozar And Ruth Radakovich
Svetozar (Toza) and Ruth Radakovich created some of the most exquisite, unique, and recognizable pieces of mid century American jewelry. Their designs have left a lasting impression on the modern design and studio jewelry movement. Radakovich jewelry is exceptionally rare, whereas many studio jewelers created a design and produced hundreds of examples, the Radakoviches were known for creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces which took inordinate amounts of time to perfect and complete. This exhibition is a narrative of their interwoven personal and professional lives—a long journey across continents and wars during which they found ways to speak words of love to each other through their art.
