OMA's Artist Alliance is thrilled to present 53 artworks in their fourth annual exhibition at Ashton Gallery in North Park San Diego. Selected by juror Kate Ashton, many of the artworks are loosely themed to the title, Beneath the Surface, exploring both figurative and abstract interpretations of the thoughts, fears, hopes, creatures, secrets, or hidden and hinted-at objects that might be tucked away beneath the literal or figurative surface.

Ashton Gallery @ Art on 30th is an integral part of the vibrant North Park Arts and Culture District of San Diego. Established in 2015 by Kate Ashton, the gallery hosts monthly juried exhibitions, in addition to offering art classes, working studio space, and professional development for artists. The gallery represents professional local artists specializing in contemporary art.

After two decades as college instructor, Kate Ashton dedicated herself to working as a full time artist. Her artwork has been featured in art museums in Southern California, numerous publications and television broadcasts, as well as private collections throughout the country. As founder of Ashton Gallery @ Art on 30th, Kate is engaged as a professional artist, teacher, and mentor, while assisting artists in growing their creativity and art careers.
