DAY OF THE DEAD ALTAR FROM THE MINGEI

OCTOBER 13–NOVEMBER 4, 2018

Each year for the past decade, the annual Day of the Dead Altar at Balboa Park’s Mingei International Museum has beautifully honored a Mexican icon who passed away. With the museum recently closed for their year-long renovation, OMA will collaborate with the Mingei along with Centro Cultural Tijuana, and artist Claudia Ramírez to continue this tradition by bringing the altar to OMA for a special installation.
