May through July, Alyssa Junious of Continuum will be creating movement in conversation with the exhibition VALYA: SHE. During three work-in-progress events, Junious will solicit and incorporate audience response to her finished work, which will be presented in full on Sunday, July 7. The last opportunity to join in the creation process of this new work will happen during First Friday Art Walk on Friday, June 7, 5:30-7:00pm, Junious will be working with two new dancers around the issues of age, time, and family. Come be a part of creating this exciting new community project. Admission is free during the public input session, as well as for the final presentation in July. Junious graduated from Oceanside High School before attending UC Irvine where she earned a BFA in dance. She is a community influencer who creates work aimed at engaging audiences to see themselves reflected in the artwork.
