Join OMA’s Free First Sundays for Art for All! Each month, OMA welcomes friends and neighbors on Free First Sundays to join in Art for All, our fun hands-on art-making experience led by artists and cultural partners from our community.

Can’t get enough of printmaking? Miss our last printmaking Art for All? Join us for a free workshop celebrating the many styles of printmaking featured within the Matrix Multiplied: Hybrid Approaches to Printmaking exhibition.

Whether you’re new to art or have your own creative flow, Art for All is the time to let your imagination soar. Visit our current exhibitions to spark your creativity! If you’re looking for fellowship but can’t make it in person to OMA, join our Virtual Art Share series from home or wherever you are with refreshments of your choice, and enjoy some conversation with fellow artists! This is a supportive peer group for artists of all experience levels, engaging with a broad range of subject matter, including but not limited to: artificial intelligence, anime, landscapes, various forms of sculpture, photography, portraiture, figurative work, LGBTQ themes, sexuality, politics, and war. Because the artwork and discussions may include mature or sensitive content, participants under the age of 18 must either be accompanied by a parent or guardian or have explicit guardian permission to attend. If any participant—adult or underage—prefers to avoid potentially triggering content, we are happy to accommodate by scheduling their presentation earlier in the session to allow for a timely and respectful departure.

In this meet-and-greet with Kate Tova, learn about her enveloping exhibition A Place to Rest (My Tired Mind). Kate will lead a brief tour of the gallery sharing about her inspirations and artistic journey. Questions are encouraged, and attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy tea in the lobby with the artist following the program.

Join us for Studio Arts, when OMA transforms into an artist’s studio, offering skill-building workshops led by distinguished professor and arts educator Robin Douglas.

Inspired by world renowned artists, you will explore different media, techniques and subjects found in an artist’s studio. After a brief slide presentation for inspiration and context the session will continue with demonstrations.

2-D and 3-D Collages

In this workshop, you’ll use a variety of handmade papers, fabrics, fibers, and natural textures to create your own inspired collage. Bring in an object that needs transformation or choose from our collection and leave with a dynamic multi-leveled, multi-textured object!

This full day workshop held from 10:00am–2:00pm is meant to get you in the art making groove and develop new approaches to seeing and creating artworks. Whether you have a lifetime practice or are new to expressing yourself, we exchange ideas and techniques in a supportive and challenging environment. Students of all levels are welcome to stretch their creative muscles and build community with us.

All supplies and light refreshments for each workshop are included in the cost. A break for lunch and relaxed discussion will occur midday. Please bring your own bagged lunch or feel free to visit one of the restaurants close by on our provided list.

This is a small little beach where you can paint waves, palm trees, lifeguard towers, the cute local cafe, or the inlet. Parking is easy and restrooms are convenient.

Whether you're a seasoned plein air painter or just starting your artistic journey, this event is for you! Beginners and experienced painters can find fresh inspiration in the urban and natural landscape.
