Come with us this month on a journey through the art, architecture, and culinary delights of Puebla, Mexico. These lectures will explore the art, artists, architecture, and architects around the world who have created environments that challenge, entertain, inspire, and delight us.

Taste of Art | Gold on Gold Painting inspired by Gustav Klimt
Using gold paint to enhance our compositions of people and places we will use Klimt’s style of glittering color and intermittent geometric shapes. Some 3-D mosaics will be available for a more tactile illusion.

Join arts educator Robin Douglas, as we dip our toes into the work of celebrated artists over drinks and nibbles, followed by a rapid demonstration of their styles. You’ll then be guided to interpret these artists and create your own singular, spectacular work of art. We’ll help you express your unique style and ensure you have a blast doing it.
All levels of experience are encouraged to participate. OMA provides food, drinks, and supplies; all you have to do is get yourself out of work, grab your friends, and have fun!

Van Gogh, Derain, Gauguin, and Thiebaud are known for their dynamic landscapes. Waves, wispy clouds, wind in trees, blowing sand, and flying birds will be our inspiration to paint loosely and with energy.

Color creates a mood. We live in color. Using your favorite color, mixing it with grey, black, and white you will create a one-color masterpiece just like Picasso! Choose your favorite subject matter to paint on canvas.
